Stitch

Stitch (circa 1940) was inspired by embroidered chintz cotton fabrics. The use of polka dots was popular in embroidery and prints, particularly at a time when block printing was considered a status symbol. In the late 19th and well into the 20th century, cluttered patterns in private homes were a clear symbol of wealth and were associated with prosperity. By using two print colors, this wallpaper goes well with different wall colors and other elements in the room.
